about Dorit Fuhg
As a freelance photographer, I focus on fine art and experimental photography.
My passion is to capture the mood of a scene as well as the essence of a thing. Over the years, I have found my own style, that emphasizes the beauty of nature and special moods, but also integrates surreal or documentary aspects.
After living in Switzerland, Norway and the UK for fourteen years, I returned to my home country Germany in 2012 and currently live in Dresden, Saxony.
I have shown my work at exhibitions in Brighton, Toronto and Dresden. My images are found in private collections, public spaces and art dealer's catalogues in Germany and abroad. Some of my photographs have been featured in international publications such the "1x. com Year Book".
My photo book "Dresden in Black and White" was published in 2014 by Mitteldeutscher Verlag.
As Co-Founder of the Art-for-Cancer Group, I helped build a network of artists, who donate part of their sales proceeds to cancer charities. The group consists of over three hundred members worldwide.
I am a founding member of the "Forum for Contemporary Photography Dresden".
In 2016 Kurt Rahn interviewed me about selling art online: Advice for artists: Interview with Dorit Fuhg
