“joyride” is a selection of photos I took from the car, while my man, Grüni, was driving.
These pictures are especially precious to me because what is shown in them is what we saw and experienced together in those moments. In 2019, he passed away suddenly. My world ended then.

It is important for me to show these pictures, but only now, in 2024, have I found the strength to do so.

For four years, we had a fantastic time on the road together, exploring places in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Tenerife. He was a photographer himself, so we had countless conversations and philosophical debates about taking pictures — what, why, why this way, and who cares about that picture. We also often discussed why he had to be the one driving so that I could take pictures, not him. 
I miss that. I miss him. But these images carry the joy I felt forward.



„joyride” ist eine Auswahl an Fotos, die ich aus dem Auto machte, während mein Mann Grüni fuhr.
Diese Bilder sind für mich besonders kostbar, weil wir das, was auf den Fotos zu sehen ist, in dem Moment gemeinsam sahen. 2019 verstarb er plötzlich. Meine Welt endete da.

Es ist mir wichtig die Bilder zu zeigen, aber erst vor kurzem, in 2024, hatte ich die Kraft mich damit zu befassen.

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit zusammen auf Achse, während wir Orte in Deutschland, Tschechien, Polen und auf Teneriffa erkundeten. Auf unseren vielen Entdeckungsfahrten hatten wir unzählige Gespräche und philosophische Debatten übers Bildermachen: was, weshalb, wieso auf diese Art, wen interessiert's.
Ich vermisse das. Ich vermisse ihn.
